Hello, I'm excited to unveil the first build of HoPE to you all!

Although it's a prototype, it currently offers about 20 minutes of estimated playtime, incorporating essential game concepts like combat and upgrades. It includes WG sequences for a total of 6 characters.

As a prototype it's lacking in balance and detailed convenience. I would appreciate it if you could comment with any bugs or ideas you find. I plan to complete this game with additional updates over the next 2-3 months.

I played the game recently a couple of times and enjoyed it as well, however there are some smaller things that I would like to report and maybe even inspire some ideas but first the problems One of the problems that I would like to report is regarding the elf priestess, as usual they are supposed to protect other elves with a force field and the main way to prevent that from being a problem is to take them down first. although when I was playing there were moments that the elf priestess would protect each other and even groups of them would end up having a shield around each other, most likely for the best to remove the ability to protect themselves with the shield so things doesn’t get too difficult for later levels if there is going that might have the elf priestess. Another problem is also to do with the boss (probably soon to be bosses when there are multiple) is whenever I was hovering around the arena sometimes she would go too far above and I wouldn’t be able to hit her since she is past the border and I would have to focus on the elves, if this is meant to be intentional then I wouldn’t mind there being an indicator that shows where the boss is or if they are entering back inside so that way I am not trying to focus too much on the elves and also try to finish the stage as well (when the later versions of the game are complete). As for some ideas I got a few that might be interesting since it could make the game a bit fun but also have some interesting mechanics as well, first up is a weapons that can do splash damage but at a cost of a slower fire rate, the damage can be slightly higher than the darts and the range can be drastically increased compared to the darts just to compensate for the slower fire rate. Second is another elf that would be seen as a thief/rouge, their goal is to move around the stage quickly and they can have an ability to steal some of the exp you earn, however by taking the elf theif/rouge down you gain a huge amount back in return. The elf thief/rouge would be a few to rare occasion that could have you gain a ton of exp or can steal a small portion of exp and escape the battle with you having a slight disadvantage as well. So far the game has been very interesting and I do hope when it comes to the full release that it would have both the fun elements of a game but also have some interesting elf’s to fatten up as well, keep up the amazing work and hope to see more dev logs with ideas and more elf’s that will become immobile beauties as well.

Thank you for thoroughly understanding the game. Your points are valid. I plan to add many more types of weapons, aiming for a variety of combinations similar to games like The Binding of Isaac or Vampire Survivors. The idea of a rogue elf is intriguing! We'll include it in the next update.

Its really good, I do agree that it was quite hard though. I likely would have failed if not for the unlimited health, perhaps a longer invulnerability period after the initial hit might help? as i often lost large amounts of health at once from a big crowd of enemies when i try to reposition. The art and dialogue is great as always though, a WG stage gallery in future with the jiggle physics would be so good to show it off, it feels like a nice way to track progression through the game too as you discover new enemies. An encyclopedia of plump elves!

Thanks, WG gallery will be added in the next version. It will have an underground prison concept where you can imprison the elves you have harvested.
