Well, some wip, and as said in the title, some struggles with lineart vs sketch... Damn it!

Some thoughts: sketches are often more visually efficient because dynamic etc. The problem with the lineart is to keep the impression that gives the sketch. As lines are very bold, the accuracy could be pretty weak but our brain makes the corrections needed, and the dynamism, if well done, talks itself. I tried several times to make the lineart on the last sketch I posted, but nothing good was done, all the dynamism was lost, the impression given by the pose was lost too. Well, I'm still not totally satisfied with what I have done, but I have deadlines so no choice, I can't take more time on it. Hope the shading will give back what I wanted with the sketch.

Some explanations: So after being quite totally blocked a bit stupidly on this, it's happening time to time, I decided to make a "dissection sketch" to understand at least why it works as a sketch and not as lineart, and to refine more precisely some areas, which was too problematic (was also a good anatomical practice). So it's the second picture I drew it in red. And after I drew again another lineart, which was far best (pictures 3 and 4). I made some little changes on it after without the "dissection sketch". But I think that the sketch gave still a better impression of the pose and with the details I didn't be able to catch it.

Well, and the last one is in process for some cyberpunk stuff anyway, even if I'm not totally happy with the base figure I did.

Thank you so much my friend! This blogging stuff allowed me also to ask myself more about this than what I would have done if I didn't blog, thank you for the advice!
