The last year has been filled with many blessings and challenges. The Solar Powered Hydronic Heated Greenhouse is finished and Abe is heading into his 3rd year on his educational journey into medicine and molecular science. The greenhouse has successfully generated an average of 105 degrees of heat through December and we celebrated our first winter harvest by canning it all and delivering it to the La Tiendita food pantry. This is a tradition we plan to keep every December to remember our core mission for the greenhouse as stated in our project plan: To bring nutritious fresh produce to low income members of our community.  We hope to generate enough produce to become a provider for Wic and our public schools. We have submitted our final report to the LOR foundation and so many time consuming activities are now at a close that we are excited to be welcoming 2024. Every moment we've had to work on the album "Ricardo Velasquez" has been healing and relieving.  Turning our focus into finalizing every track for duplication.  We've just released two new videos featuring singles that will be compiled into this memorial double album for 2024. Here are the New Years Eve release links to One Day at a Time (https://youtu.be/NEnla_fvTK4?si=vwoe7wl8fSfJviPE) and Last Date (https://youtu.be/nDkO50bCrQY?si=ZjF9d5OJWxOgFXEG).

We got out our musical fingers and released an old jam session ,"The Squid Album, Raw and Uncut"    titled as originally saved.  This is a live recording that we have had saved from our early days of playing music with Marcus Newell.  Recorded when Morgan had just written some of our favorite original songs like, The Dust, Oh How am I, and of course The Giant Squid.  There is something special about the sound of a song fresh out of the box and we are really excited to share that with you all almost a decade later.  This was on a CD that we kept in our car for several years as we memorized the songs and practiced harmonies and additional parts that can be heard on Ballads and Heartstrings. I remember thinking, "This is the best thing we've ever created together!" and then we moved on to vacant land, building, living without plumbing or hot water.  It's amazing how much time it can take to set up a basic living situation. Enter parenthood 2018 and our time grew exponentially less and motivation and drive grew stronger.  Then 2023 hit and off we dove into the land of conservation, plumbing, mechanical, solar and wind power and the fog settled in our hearts and minds on the mission ahead. It gave us the tunnel vision to move forward and our social lives became next to non-existent. So now as the air clears we feel it is important to take a moment and reconnect with our core memories, the really good ones and to remember the path we took to get here. Remember what drives and fuels us.  After searching through our archives for any unreleased single that never had its day in the sun we stumbled upon many AND an entire album, unreleased, unappreciated and tucked within a folder of a folder neatly titled, "The squid album". We always said that we needed to make it into its own album one day. Now available to listen to online and adding to platforms daily.
