Our song "Plant Seeds" from our album the Garden and Life! We have been saving lots of seeds for years. We have many heirloom seeds that we got during the seed trade and more from hybrids we've been working on for years. Our focus is organic, subzero tolerant, drought tolerant varieties that can be grown in any type of soil, specifically unbalanced soil in need of repair and regeneration.  Pollinators and Regenerators! When we arrived at our ranch as vacant land, it was clear that the previous farming operation had overtilled and overgrazed the land. Although it had been done decades earlier we could see that the land was still in recovery stage. All the fertile soil had blown away to the corner of the property and left barren exposed rock everywhere that makes it hard for things to anchor to and grow in. There was no substrate or debris to protect the small plants and animals that bring life to an area.  In short the top soil had blown away and a desert was created. We have been working hard to regenerate this land heavily relying on permaculture methods.  The pay-off is slow but the effect is long lasting.  We can expect major growth to start to take place within 7 years. We're on year 5 so far. We're getting there and seeing changes. This song reminds us of everything we've accomplished when it feels hopeless. We have a long way to go but watching this land awaken has been an ongoing celebration.
