The Dig was written after we did a soundtrack for an archeological documentary.  It was a really enjoyable chord progression that Morgan decided to write some lyrics to.  She wrote this song when she was pregnant and we were trying to hear our son's heartbeat in the womb.  After searching with little success during our midwife's visits, we bought a device that would not only amplify the sounds inside the womb but could also record the sound.  We continued listening and finally his little heartbeat came through the headphones and we were filled with joy.  We listened, recorded and wrote music.  The Dig will always have a special connection for us to this time in our lives and we hope you enjoy this song as much as we do.
