Hey everyone! Now that the new month is upon us and I managed to get last month's audios out on time (with a day to spare, no less!) I'm already working hard on next month's! Now, I know I've done basically exclusively the ASMR style of audio where I speak to you, the listener.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever enjoyed more audiobook style audios, which are narrated? I've been toying with the idea for a bit, but I wanted to take your temperature on it and see what you thought?

Also, do you prefer your character to be unnamed and as blank as possible, or do you like it when the listener character has a name and perhaps more background information?

If there's enough positive sentiment, I would definitely be down to try a more narrated style audio, maybe as some bonus content one month.

Let me know what you think in the comments, or in chat.

Some background context, I've been working on the Braden story and I can totally see it done in a more audiobook or even an actual book story, and there are a few things that I'm having trouble expressing in just one-sided dialogue only. So figured I'd ask!

I like both. I think trying something new is always a good idea. So yes, I'd be down with audio book style.

Awesome, thanks. Yeah, I might record a scene from this month's Braden story in both styles to see what people think. Could be an interesting experiment, especially since I'll have a little bit more time this month.

I’ve always been a fan of audiobooks in general, so I would definitely be interested in one if you were the narrator. As for the listener having a fleshed out character, that seems fine by me. Part of the draw of books and audios like yours are the fantasy, and I’ve always loved putting myself into a fantasy world.

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it! Yeah, I think one of the things I'm struggling with is that the types of audios that I started doing really just left blank space for the listener, so I don't want to move too far away from that, since that's my core audience, but I also want to explore different areas of voice acting and story telling, so I might experiment a bit and see how it goes!
