Zelretch in the end, HYPEEE

Just to bring attention to how good a mage he is: Flat managed to summon a Heroic Spirit as a Servant, with NO ALTAR, CATALYST, OR INCANTATIONS. He played around with the flow of magic and that alone was enough for the ritual to happen.

Re-watching it here I am still stunned by how peak this is, and by how much it references pretty much every other Fate series. It really feels like this series will be the culmination of all other Fate Series.

The reference to "the giant spider" (no spoilers) really caught me off-guard. I'm genuinely tempted to read the light novel to see what goes down!

Jarm957

Referencing the Crystal Spider was wild, if the anime dont come out soon I might break and read it as well

CrypticBoss

It truly is! If they're consistent with this kind of production quality, it'll undoubtedly be on of the best ever

Yeah this is just a trailer (kind of) for the incoming show. The original F/SF is a novel, later adapted as a manga and then this series. It started off as an April Fool's thing but was eventually developed further by the author. That's kind of why we have crazy servants as well as a mixture of lores from the Tsukihime side (Vampires, aka Dead Apostles). Gil's power here is only about the average among all the servants. Since there will be spoilers so I won't talk about the show itself, just to fill you in on the lore behind it. The key we saw at the beginning is supposedly the original key for Gil's treasure vault (aka Gate of Babylon, the thing he shoots weapons out of) that man dug up to summon Gil. Gil himself later used the same key to fetch EA, but as a skill of servant. I am glad you like Enkidu very much. In the legend 'Epic of Gilgamesh', Enkidu became Gil's best friend after a big fight. He slowly changed Gil from a tyrant to a dedicated king. However, he later passed away (due to reasons too complicated to explain here) and that recked Gil's heart. This actually led Gil to fear his own death and subsequently go on a quest to the underworld to seek eternal youth. In Fate, both Enkidu and Gil's Noble Phantasms are called 'Enuma Elish' (taken from the Title of Sumerian creation legend), in order to reference their friendship.

I'm really liking Gil & Enkidu's dynamic. Their friendship is very unique since they're rivals. Can't wait to see what happens with them both in this series
