Toys returned by the authorities (Patreon)

My toys have been returned by the "authorities".  It's time to go HIJACK some planes.

For those who don't know, I took these on as hand luggage for safety reasons due to the lithium cells inside, and they were seized as being potential weapons.

hmm. it easy to call those making decisions wankers. i do so, often. i wonder if the issue they had was with 18650 cells?

Caught between two conflicting regulations: 1) bring Li-Ion batteries on as carry-on items (up to 100WHr or 12 gm Li), and 2) don't carry on anything that could be used as a weapon. Guidance for that overlap is ... lacking.

Glad they returned them to you. I hope it wasn't too much of a hassle. TSA here in the states? I'm thinking they keep the stuff or toss it but I don't know for sure.
