A project I put on my website a very long time ago, that has been in constant use since.
Originally it was fitted with nine compact fluorescent lamps just to get a much higher brightness, but latterly I made it decorative instead by swapping in suitable lamps.

It's basically a two part plastic globe that has multiple parallel lamp holders on it.  The top ones are unusual vintage LED lights that project a slight ripple pattern, the middle ones are a candle shape lamp Poundland sold a long time ago, and the bottom red stem is a custom lamp made from a bubble wand tube with some LED circuitry in it.

Here's the web page for it:- https://www.bigclive.com/hamster.htm

Monstrosity of Luminosity

Here's a link to the original project on my vintage website, which I recently returned to its advert-free pre-Google glory. https://www.bigclive.com/hamster.htm

You could also add a PoV (Point of Vision display) to your fan for very little outlay. https://www.instructables.com/Make-a-PoV-Display-With-ATtiny13-for-1/
