I thought this one was suspiciously cheap to be the real thing.  It's visually a good copy, but has different software and a cleaner, but less able PCB design.  The main feature that is missing could have been implemented with either a diode and resistor or just a single resistor plus a software modification.  (the emergency light function).

Great video as usual, Clive! Mind telling us what type of screwdriver set you've got? Been needing to get my own set to take apart and tinker stuff!

My usual small one is a classic 9 in 1 style set which I get from a local shop called Poundland. It's one of the better versions. The bigger set is branded Kamasa, which is a fairly common brand here.

Just became a patreon. Wish you the best! I got some cheap rechargeable lights on ebay. Have you seen these? <a href="http://www.ebay.com/itm/291939418775?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&amp;var=590929244142&amp;ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://www.ebay.com/itm/291939418775?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&amp;var=590929244142&amp;ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT</a>

I've taken some of those apart in the past. The cheap ones do not have any protection for the lithium cell at all. If they are left charging it will potentially be overcharged.

Did you make a video on it? If so do you have the link? :) been watching your channel for years now. Great content. I may send you some Norwegian candy someday :)

After watching the video the lights are going in the bin. I don't like lithium going bang. Thanks for saving me from a possible fire!

Any chance you can get your hands on one of these meters? <a href="https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/hardware/millions-of-smart-meters-may-over-inflate-readings-by-up-to-600-percent/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/hardware/millions-of-smart-meters-may-over-inflate-readings-by-up-to-600-percent/</a>

Those are being fitted in Norway too these days. I'm not trusting them to be accurate.

I don't think those tiny cells could really fail dramatically.

Another super video, thanks Clive. After your original Tube video, I got a few lights. I now give them to people as birthday gifts if I really can't think of anything particular to give them but I want to give them something decent.
