Pride 2023: Kih & Cat [WIP Update] (Patreon)

I wanted to do a quick little something for Pride Month with OCs Kihrae and Catalyna, so here's the progress so far on that!

I was originally going to draw them in their regular outfits from the comic, but I realized it'd look a bit weird for Catalyna to be celebrating Pride while wearing full armor. So, I decided to give them both a more trimmed down, summery look along the lines of what you might see at a Pride parade.

I also wanted to experiment a little with the shading by taking some inspiration from Akihiko Yoshida's art style. Not sure I got it quite right, but I still like the results. I'll probably try to practice this more when drawing these characters in the future.

This drawing is very nearly finished so you can expect to see the final art later today or tomorrow.
