This month started off a bit slow as I needed to play catch-up on the Black Lagoon art I had started at the very end of April, and it turned out I needed a lot more time to finish it than I thought. But luckily I was able to sneak in the Spring in Piltover piece juuust before summer started and finish off my Seasons in Piltover series after a full year.

I was also able to draw an 18+ Korrasami piece that I'd had floating around in my brain for close to a year, and I was really happy to finally put it to canvas. I honestly think it's one of my best 18+ pieces so far.

I also took the time to do a fun 18+ piece of Asher and Estelle from Omega Strikers before jumping to Page 7 of The Things We Do For Love. I'm still working on that last one but you should see it go up within the next few days.

June Artwork

In May's 18+ poll, I asked you guys to pick from a handful of alternate timeline scenarios for Caitlyn and Vi based on various scenes from Arcane, and it seems you all wanted to see the masked woman from the brothel get in on the action. So you can expect to see me jump right on that as soon as I finish up with the latest comic page.

After that, I'll be moving to a wet, hot Republic City summer scene with Korra giving Asami a nice (SFW) waterbending massage, which was the winner of our SFW poll. This'll kick off my Seasons in Republic City series that I decided to do because why the hell not?

After that, I'd like to do a quick little something for Pride featuring my OC, and I'll of course be ending the month with Page 8 of The Things We Do For Love. But what about the second 18+ piece? I'm not 100% sure what I'll do for that yet BUT, time permitting, it could be something new and big which you'll find out about towards the end of this post.

June Polls (for July illustrations... and beyond)

Overwatch dropped a pretty big lore bomb this week and at least partially confirmed Pharmercy as canon. I know we've got quite a few Pharmercy fans here thanks to past polls, so I decided to make both of this month's polls about our favorite Overwatch doctor and rocket queen! You should see those go up on the 5th, like always.

Also this month, I'm going to be asking you guys for a little extra help through two additional polls. Rather than help me decide what to draw next, these two extra polls will be labeled as "General Interest" polls to help me get a feel for everyone's tastes and what you'd like to see me draw in the future. One will cover a bunch of different IPs, and the other will be about the kind of content you want to see in my 18+ art. Keep in mind I still primarily make sapphic art and I don't intend to change that, but sometimes I like to switch things up, so this will help me get a sense of what you'd prefer to see in those situations.

Multi-Page 18+ Comics

No doubt you guys have noticed by now that, when it comes to my 18+ art, I often like to turn them into little comics/sets so I can play around with different angles and positions. After giving it some thought, I decided to stop beating around the bush and just start making multi-page comics. Not only could I have fun putting characters in different angles and positions like I already do, but it’d also let me give it a bit more narrative structure and stretch my storytelling muscles a bit.

To maintain my sanity and allow myself to alternate between comics and illustrations, I’ll be doing the comics in a more simplified coloring style than my usual 18+ art. They’ll still be in full color, but with less detail than I normally do. They'll also be taking the place of the second 18+ artwork for that month.

The first of these comics will be the “Korra Sandwich” idea from April’s 18+ poll. While it didn’t win the poll, for a while there it looked like it might have a chance to. So I started exploring the idea in detail annnnd it kind of ballooned into a full scene. I figure it’d be a natural fit for a multi-page comic that lets me expand on the idea even further.

The plan for now is to try and produce at least one page per month, like I’m doing for The Things We Do For Love. But maintaining two different comics each month + illustrations could burn me out, so I dunno if I’ll be able to keep up that pace. The Korra Sandwich comic is long enough that I'll be splitting it into 2 parts to allow myself a little break in between and hopefully avoid burnout. I'm still not sure if I'll be able to actually get started on it this month, but I'll definitely be doing a page next month.

Like with all my 18+ art, hi-res versions will be available for Mythril patrons once a page is complete. Each part will also only be on Patreon temporarily until it’s finished. Afterwards I’ll move it to Gumroad as a standalone PDF. I still haven't settled on pricing yet, but I've got time to figure that out before Part 1 is finished.
