Turning my head toward the body, that should be soulless. I looked into the eyes that were a deep onyx color. A grin threatened to split the face in two and the teeth were far from normal for they were fangs. As if the man had evolved to easily be able to tear flesh with his teeth.

The head looked to be snapped as it bent itself backward to look up at me.

There is something seriously wrong with this situation. I need to get out of here. This soul isn't worth it.

As I went to make a portal to leave. I felt as if I was stuck. My powers no longer answered me.

"Not your soul to take. Not your soul to eat. Ddraig is mine. As well as your soul."

As an elongated tongue escaped the mouth of the man. I felt it wrapped around my body. As it started to crush me. I couldn't move or even scream. As all my hearts started crushing under the pressure. I could already feel my dark soul being absorbed into the man's being.

How did this happen? I'm the one that devours others. I survived Purgatory. This man should have been nothing.

Monspeet's POV:-

Hmm, strange Melascula just vanished. It feels similar to what happened to Galand, yet I feel that something else also happened.

"Monspeet, what are you doing? Are you not going to eat that soul? Give it to me if not." Derieri said, poking me in the arm.

"Fine, you can have it. But tell me, did you feel it too?"

As she took the soul and plopped it into her mouth and gave it a few chews and swallowed. She looked off toward the direction that Melascula vanished.

"Yeah, I did. Melascula is dead. So, someone is strong enough to kill us. There is no need to be concerned, though. We're both here. No one would be stupid enough to attack two sins at once."

Not saying anything to her as she went back to eating more souls. I couldn't help shake this overbearing feeling. We are the closest ones to where Melascula disappeared. It would be the wisest choice to go after us next.

Well, at least I have you by my side, Derieri.

Mavros POV:-

The hunger seems to have reduced since eating, Melascula. It no longer feels that my senses were turned up to a thousand more like 500. This is going to take some getting used to. If Prime hadn't helped me, I would probably have gone feral in my gluttony.

'Hunger is something I've gotten used to. Learn to focus on other things, and you will hardly notice it. When I was at my full power, I turned to things like Lust. To keep me distracted. This only works so much, though. The longer you keep the hunger down, the more voracious you become.'

Focus on other things... At the moment I have a lot on my mind, so that isn't difficult to do. Hikari and everyone are going to be coming after us soon. We still aren't prepared for them.

It's time to go to the next demon. The closest demons seem to be Monspeet and Derieri. Too bad it's not Estarossa or Zeldris. I bet they would be delectable.

...Damn this hunger.

Smelling the air, I smelled the scent of three humans and a fairy. One human seemed to be hiding in the ground while the others were traveling together.

It must be Ban, Escanor, Elaine, and Jericho. Strange, we ate Melascula Elaine shouldn't be alive. Could it be that her magic is still active because it was entwined with our soul and not snuffed out?

This calls for a need to investigate.

As I stepped out of a portal courtesy of Melascula. Ban, Jericho, and Elaine could be seen traveling over the cliff. The one Escanor resided in.

They didn't fail to notice my entrance. As I curiously watched them. Sensing the magic in Elaine. Noticing how impure it was. It looked to be drawing on her negative thoughts to keep her alive. I could feel it dwindling as Melascula no longer powered the spell, but since her magic was now mine, it seemed to grow more life the closer she got to me.

"Hey, eyes off, my girl." Ban said, causing me to look at him. Seeing a purple glow around his head was like a haze.

Actually, now that I notice it, the other two have the haze. Jericho's not being as potent as Elaine's and Ban's. It seems I must have known Elaine as I did Ban.

"Well, you see, your... girl is currently alive thanks to my magic. At least it's now my magic, so give me some respect. Fellow sin, or I take her back."

Ban's eyes narrowed at me, ready to attack at any moment. Before Elaine put a hand on his shoulder, catching his attention.

"He speaks the truth. It's faint, but I feel it. Before they arrived, I felt myself weakening, but in their presence I've grown stronger."

"You said, fellow sin. I don't understand, I've researched every sin, and I don't recall hearing of you. Unless your Escanor." Jericho asked, her hand on her sword.

Smirking slightly at the action. I used my speed to appear next to her, grabbing her arm so she couldn't pull her sword out.

I felt her body still as if frozen from fear.

"Word of advice. When you don't know someone's strength, you have two options. Don't show hostility or pull your weapon to have it on standby. That second, you need to pull the blade. it could be all someone needs to end you. Now be a good girl and let go of your sword. I would prefer this doesn't get bloody."

As I stepped away, reappearing back in the spot I had been standing in before, Jericho dropped to her knees, taking deep breaths as if she had just escaped death.
