This should fix all file access issues we've had with Beta #14.

Newcomers: Please refer to the Beta #1 post for a visual installation guide or follow the included README.txt in the SPFlash package to-the-letter.

Existing users: Reboot into the recovery and install the TWRP package as usual to upgrade. (For same Android version upgrades.)

For those needing Google Apps: Please stick to NikGapps-arm64-11 Google Apps for now. MindTheGapps doesn't seem to play nice with A-only partition devices like our XD+, and OpenGapps doesn't provide Android 11 bundles yet!

For convenience's sake I've attached a copy of the latest (at the time of writing) compatible NikGapps-core bundle to this post. Should you need more Google Apps than the Play Store though, or simply wish to pay respect to the NikGapps team, feel free to give the official NikGapps website a visit! (They accept donations!)

For those needing root: Magisk is currently unsupported. Superuser will work though!

Changelog

  • Fixed an issue that prevented users from accessing the internal storage

Known issues

  • Audio plays through the device speakers / wired headphones while connected via HDMI
  • CTS certification doesn't work yet (aka. Netflix won't work without sideloading)
  • The recent application screen sometimes refuses to rotate landscape on fresh installs (if this happens, long-press on an empty spot on your homescreen, open "Home settings" and exit back to the homescreen right after)
  • Magisk isn't supported yet (Superuser will work though)

Hey, I don't see it mentioned in the Known Issues so I gotta ask. Any luck with the Vulkan regression issues or is that still a WIP? Great work as always though in any case. I think I'll still stick to 8.1 for now though until OpenGapps and Magisk are ready for 11 but was still wondering :)

It's better (three HWC issues were fixed) but it's still not perfect. Given the fact that Vulkan never worked well to begin with though I figured it didn't warrant a separate point on the list anymore though.

hello! and thank you for your hard work! i want to do the cleanest install possible, is there value in "re-flashing" over twrp or is that silly?

About Nikgapps, on their website, i found a Full arm64 package. Should i try It?

blackseraph

You can pick whichever package you like. I'm just a "smaller is better" kind of guy.

Hello! One question. I can fully access Android/data (after providing scooped storage access) but I'm still having issues accessing the android/obb folder. Unfortunately it seems like this is preventing all Final Fantasy games I own from installing. Is there any way to fix it? Or is this perhaps something that will require a future update?

If you don't mind messaging me directly we can take a look at it together via TeamViewer to figure out what's the issue. This tends to be the fastest way to diagnose things.
