I remember learning that there are people who can't visualise things in their heads and I keep thinking about it ever since. It makes sense in theory but in praxis I just can't believe there are people without constant pictures in their heads, this would have an impact on my life and the art I make 100% 😭 I don't wanna get too deep into this and bash hetero guys but I see a clear correlation between me willingly paying for your content (I'm not that horny) and you mainly being friends with women/queer man. I came for the naughty stuff but then stayed for the SFW, part of the reason why I asked for another AMA. This morning upload was such a treat! First, your trivia night sounds like my ideal party and I’m now inspired to plan something like that. I was on a competitive trivia team in high school (trivia heads rise up 🤓), and bar trivia has not quite filled the void. It sounds like a pals trivia night is the way to go. I love that you ended up sharing different seasonal dinner party meal ideas! All sound delicious to me. Especially that fresh herb salad?! As soon as you said dill I was on board! You mentioned pizza and I’ve done personal pizzas before. That’s always a hit! Finally, if you’re looking for some new post-punk music to get into, I highly recommend Fontaines D.C.. They’re an Irish post-punk band and they’re coming out with a new album next month! I saw them twice last year and they completely won me over. It really depends but usually I have a clear vision of what I want to make in my head before starting, yes. The details depend and it doesn't 100% turn out as I imagine since I'm really just at amateur level lmao Sometimes when I have a vision and can't recreate it I get frustrated, I can't even imagine starting to create something without the image in my head, it really doesn't make sense to me at all, it sounds impressive 😄

if you're looking for something to watch with a lot of interesting themes explored, it's a donghua (which is a chinese animation) so not Exactly anime but i really recommend link click!! it's a show about time travel and its effects on using time travel to change people's trajectories. it has really good commentaries on philosophical topics surrounding death and stuff so i feel like you'd really enjoy something that has a lot of depth and interesting world building!! it's pretty short too :) only two seasons are out so far! ❤️

I have a ten hour flight tomorrow but I’m listening to this now, at 11 pm, like a clown. Just figured I’d throw that out there. Anyway. Not the British YouTuber Cancelling Wave of 2013ish, I’d forgotten about that 💀 did you ever go/want to go to vidcon? A bunch of my friends went but I never did. I did see Dan Howell live on tour last year and it was full of teenagers! I had no idea he was STILL cool with 15 year olds lol I thought his audience would have gotten older with time but nope! If you grew up with a hand-me-down ps1 and watching charlieissocoollike we must be about the same age (but im not a millennial 😤 I mean I’m a cusp baby but I don’t claim millennial personally lmao). I wish I’d been a 2000 baby tho ngl, I think that’s objectively the coolest year to be born.

My brother tried to convince me I would love Fontaines months before the shows - and I did listen to them a bit ahead of seeing them as an opener - but it really was their live performance that made me a bonafide fan! Omg sameeee, I did see them open for AM! Did you see them twice at the AM shows? I went with my sister but we didn’t know who they were beforehand. We got there early enough to see them perform and YES their live performance made me a fan too! They really had a great setlist. Yes, exactly, I saw them at 2 AM shows last year! I went first solo (in the city I currently live in) and then a second time with my brother who is also a big Fontaines and AM fan (in our hometown city). I love that you also went with a sibling! Thanks for voicing this out! I agree... I'm starting law school, and I'd probably pass on a lawyer!Listener audio because I'm not comfortable my eventual profession being sexualized. Lawyer Speaker x Client Listener would still be fun, I think! I've read the older polls, and August mentioned things would happen after everything is settled, so there wouldn't be an existing professional relationship between them. Edit: Would actually find it sweet if Speaker was the lawyer who helped me through my fictional divorce or helped me get custody of my nonexistent children? I also just finished the Adventures of Amina El-Sarafi last week!! I laughed because I am also someone who is… not a voracious reader 😆 I ask this in a genuinely friendly and curious way- What didn’t you like about the pacing? I really liked the pacing, it felt like a wild ride, a young (maybe inexperienced) scribe hitting all the highlights. I do wish we got more history or backstory on Amina’s crew, and her relationships with her crew. I was so drawn to all the characters but I was left wanting to know more about them, their lives. Something I forgot to mention in my first comment but still wanted to discuss with y’all is August’s question around attempting a re-record of his first audio. It’s so funny that came up as I coincidentally re-listened to that audio earlier this week for the first time in a long time. Obviously the content is “good” (there’s a reason I listened exclusively to his stuff on Reddit for years before coming over here!), but my first thought was it sounded “emptier” than the audios we’re used to now? haha I’m sure it’s the lack of SFX! All to say: I think it would be very fun to hear a re-record and/or remaster as a milestone celebration? I hear the concern about comparison, but for me I don’t even know if a re-record as content produced in the present day August approach could be compared with the OG. It would be a whole new thing? Curious to hear thoughts from the community on this! Also for my own curiosity: what was the first August audio you heard? I def recommend cowboy bebop as a starter anime! It’s a mix of sci-fi, western, and jazz noir. The soundtrack is amazing. At the very least, listen to the opening theme. It’s one of few anime’s where the dub is exceptional. It’s accessible and watching an episode isn’t a huge commitment. Thanks for coming to my TedTalk :)

if you’re at all interested in roman inspired fantasy i recommend the will of the many by james islington! it’s about an orphan named Vis who’s tasked w infiltrating an elite academy to find out the real circumstances around his adoptive uncle’s death + there’s a really interesting magic system involved. i finished it abt a month ago and that book is STILL on my mind (but it is the first book in a series that’s not finished yet so just a warning in case that’s not your vibe) i also am trying to explore anime a bit more but only recently got into jujutsu kaisen and tbh i really only started that one cause of how fine nanami was 😮‍💨 (who btw i think gives off major august vibes for various reasons 🙂‍↕️)

everyone's got such great anime recommendations~ so i'm going to be the nut who recommends one piece 🤭🥴 it's a goofy and fun adventure, but also has its moments of nuance, emotional highs and lows, and a great deal of world and personal politics. a lot of people seemed to get into it after the netflix live action, but for the anime, i think if you aren't enjoying it by arlong park—which is around ep 30 or so—then it might not be worth watching the rest of it. the 1000+ episodes usually scares people away from starting it, but 30 episodes is a little over 1 usual season of an anime, so i think it's a more digestible litmus test 😅

I finished both watching and reading Naruto in 2017 and Bleach fairly recently and decided to jump into one piece... then I looked at the number of episodes and saw how the manga wasn't finished. I'm not ready to commit to another long series just yet, but it's definitely on the list! My one brain cell needs to rest 🤣

For sure! While reading Naruto the best feeling was just to take my time to really break down the chapter and then see it be translated into the screen. Really cool stuff! Plus the fight sequences for one piece look gnarly! Super fun stuff!
