A testament to the unexpectedly difficult birth of HOUSE OF THE DEAD: I remember seeing a panel with the two screenwriters and actress Ellie Cornell at Fangoria's 2002 Weekend of Horrors convention. The footage they brought didn't look promising, but I figured Dave Parker's involvement was a positive. Then all word of the thing just... vanished. Also, Dave Parker was a hot property in zombie cinema for about five minutes on the strength of his Full Moon-backed Fulci homage THE DEAD HATE THE LIVING! Which goes to show the dire state of the genre at the turn of the century, because that film is mostly pants.
