When developing plugins that require their own visual interface, I face the problem of lack of space on the screen, I have to make small elements so that the plugin works well in the standard resolution of 816 x 624. Therefore, I would like to know if few people use this resolution and it is better to use another resolution as standard.

imo, as long as the Plugin works, or is being supported you have done your part. Screen and image resolution is a minor issue for serious hobbyists/developers and if we don't want the default, we change it. Just have the Plugins draw the default windows with the option to use our own images/settings. As a rule though I don't set my res too high, makes things too small and I typically start projects with the default 816 x 624. I only go higher if the game is ABS, and just for the ability to have more range options for projectiles.

Unless I've been in a coma for a few years, 1920 x 1080 is still currently the standard for video games in general. The whole 816 x 624 thing is for people who still pay with checks.
