Q: Why is still version 1.2, not 1.3 ?

A: Version 1.3 - is a rewrite (from scratch) of the Alpha ABS, which has improved the core logic and supports an advanced AI. It's still in development. I don't want to keep you waiting for a long time, so I decided to introduce a new UI for testing and feedback in current version 1.2.


Q: Why Alpha ABS is need to be rewrited?

A: Because Alpha ABS was designed in 2016, the code structure is poor and huge and it is difficult to expand and maintain. Also, the new version (1.3) is being developed taking into account the further combination with Alpha NET. That cannot be done with 1.2.


Q: Why Alpha ABS updates in recent months are rare?

A: I work on version 1.3. core. Done at +-40%


Q: Why in this build is only new Player UI element?

A: I will add in parts, but often. The next UI element will be available in a few days.


Q: Why new UI element not in in-game UI editor?

A: The in-game UI editor is deprecated and will no longer be in the Alpha ABS 1.3. Now the position of all elements is adjusted via JSON files. That allows to create more customizable UI elements and more convenient for work. Perhaps in version 1.3. there will be a new in-game UI editor, but it is still in the plans and i am not sure about it.


Q: How i can customize new UI elements?

A: Images in img/AABS folder, all .JSON files in data/AABS folder, all custom fonts in fonts folder


Q: Where Control Panel? (Attack, follow, etc...)

A: Control panel is deprecated and will no longer be in the Alpha ABS 1.3. Using UI Buttons instead https://github.com/KageDesu/Alpha-ABS/wiki/UI-Buttons-JSON-Configuration. In this build UIButtons.json will be updated.


Be careful using this Build in your main project.

Another question is what command for the skills or arrows to be cast in a fixed direction. For example, I did some tests, and the arrows when thrown at moving enemies, end up tracking the target wherever it goes, is not a very correct effect for an arrow. Target based skill always follows target. i like it but i can't get the old hp bar and face hud to leave lol
