Why are the Universal Monsters the most fun... (Patreon)

... to have fun with? I watch horror movies from just about any era... from the classic 30s/40s universal monsters, to the 50s SciFi red menace scare, to the 60s Roger Corman directed/produced fun schlock, to the 70s satanic wave of horror films, to 80s slashers, all the way up to the modern age of mostly CG monster mayhem. But the true classics are the stuff that Universal made in the thirties and forties and technically 50s with Creature from the Black lagoon which mod would say was the end of that classic era.

I have certainly parodied other eras of monster films but it just seems like the Universal monsters are such a gold mine it's always worth delving back into that dungeon!

I'm hard at work on some new art for this month but I thought you might enjoy some of these goldie oldies just because they kind of popped into my head this morning.
