A quick protip: It might help to think a bit strategically and choose a character you like who's also somewhat well-known and popular. Consider what kind of taste most other people who like my drawings might have.

Of course, you're still more than welcome to pick whoever you want, but just be aware that niche characters are a gamble! If it were me, I'd want to make sure I got the best odds for my money.
