Tour Diary - Part 14 (Patreon)

busy busy week for office hours, eh? Just watched the Jingle doc, and it was great! nice work Doug and Jack! 

And the Club Random Episode seems to be picking up steam! It was so fun to do that with Fred. And Matt and Wes nailed the look!  I hope Bill is seething! 

sitting in the back parking lot of the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville NJ after a bumpy night of Jersey roads. I'm beginning to resent our driver. He was slamming on the brakes too much and accelerating erratically. It was not a restful night.  There seems to be NOTHING around here. Why put a club here? I guess we'll find out. 

New Haven was lovely. I didn't leave the block we were parked in. Had a nice salad at a cute mom-and-pop vegetarian cafe on the corner. JP had a funny interaction with the woman running the place: 

JP; Can I get a BLT?  Do you have Sourdough? 

Woman: Oh, no! I hate Sourdough! 

I watched a mom and dad help move their Yale-bound son into an apartment. The dad unloaded a wine rack from the trunk. I don't remember having a wine rack in my dorm. I guess that's more of an Ivy League thing. 

The show was great! Good sound and a spirited crowd - seemed like lots of fans of the music... I was worried we'd have an "off" night after NYC, and I did take it a little easier but ended up having a lot of fun. It's so key when my monitors are good, and I can really hear myself, I end up not straining my voice, I sing better and generally have a better time on stage. 

After I got to meet Shannon Dry and Lyla! They were hanging out by the bus and had a nice chat with them.  They gifted me a case of Black Cherry Waterloo! Sweet! and earlier Grey Niner delivered some famous New Haven Pizza and we hung with him for a bit. The Office Hours family is REAL! Love ya!
