Bye Bye Florida (Patreon)

Greeting from Orlando Airport! I'm sitting in a very very crowded terminal, decompressing after passing through TSA hellworld - was actually pretty smooth, considering the pure volume of people here. Nothing makes my blood boil so unreasonably as the TSA security farce we go through every time we fly. I pay for Clear and TSA and whatever else I need to assure i have as little to do with it as possible. But I'm traveling with the family so I have to endure the usual plebeian treatment.  I get so pissed *again unreasonably, taking my shoes off and my laptop out of my bag. FUCK This! 

Anyway, heading back after a week of sun and heat and hot water (our poor ocean) in Ormond Beach where my dad lives and Miami Beach where my wife, sister and brother-in-law escaped to to get a few days off from being parents. 

I really liked Miami Beach (or South Beach, which is where we were staying) I mean, there were a lot of young folks, the types who wanna go to the club and get fucked up, so I didn't connect to that scene, but the beach was nice, and I really loved the long walking path that runs up the coast and at night when the neon goes on in front of the Art Deco buildings... wow. That's iconic and really pretty. 

Thanks to whoever recommended La Trova! Really good Cuban! Generally, we ate well, went snorkeling, saw Mission Impossible (so stupid but also so great. Man, the second half of that movie is so perfect... the train stuff... wow. )  Got stung by a jellyfish... 

We did spend a few days back in Ormond Beach with the kids and it was really fun as my kids are getting really confident in the water and starting to boogie board and body surf... It was quite nice and I feel like I got some good exercise just by being in the water with them for an hour...
