I used to this on my tumblr years ago, but I dropped off. Here's some things I did or released this year that I'm proud of, or maybe you missed as you went about your own busy lives...  I've not included all the amazing, memorable moments on this show which has been a shining light of total fun throughout this year. Love to Vic, Doug, Matt, Wes, Luke, Olivia, Carson and everyone else who makes the show work so well every week.

What did I forget? And what did you do that you'd love to tell us about?

It was a quiet beginning to 2022, but On Cinema and The Hei Network saw the release of "X-Posed" and the "Wendy Kerby Valentine's Day Special," and then shortly after, we went live with the "9th Annual On Cinema Oscar Special." Set on the Hei Ranch, it was by far, our most ambitious and risky challenge to date - just getting a stable internet connection (which did fail us at first but get good and solid pretty quickly...) was a major effort. We missed getting fully rained out by one day!  We had an amazing hard working crew that built a little city in a few days - and the final product has some genuinely incredible cinematic moments, all the more incredible when you consider it was all happening live.

The High School LP came out in June! A long wait for me, as I had wrapped it up earlier in 2021, but these things take time to get out to the world in the right way. I was very pleased with how it turned out and the nice reception it received.  Backed by a killer's crew of Drew Erickson, Mac DeMarco,  Eric D. Johnson,  a dash of Kurt Vile and a little twinkle of Jonathan Rado,  it was another fascinating, sometimes frustrating and dispiriting but ultimately rewarding journey into the process of making something: never knowing what you've got until you get there.

The album perfectly teed up the BIG SUMMER TWO TIMS TOUR, a massive undertaking of logistics, worry, self promotion and energy - which was ultimately one of the most fun and rewarding undertakings of my professional career - it seems like a dream. Did it even happen?  Entering the dark, absurd world of my standup character - mostly scripted but enough room to play and adjust to the room each night, followed by a wild, adrenaline filled rock and roll set, behind me, some of the best players and even better friends I'd come to know.  Fun times on the bus, and seeing this great, big, weird country... living like circus people.  Yea I felt it.

Hei Network also saw the release of "Gregg Turkington's Deck of Cards" total madness which sees the return of Jack Deck... errrr... Jack Dennicker . SO  fun to make stupidity like this.  The jitterbug scene is one of funniest things we've ever done. (in my opinion)

Later in the summer saw the release of "Spin Me Round"  / Critics didn't care for it, but me and my wife thought it was funny! I think the critics were just jealous of all the fun they knew we were having making it!

Also, the funny, dark and smart TV Show Killing It Premiered on Peacock - Starring Craig Robinson and our own Claudia O'Doherty!  I got to play a psychotic, more successful version of On Cinema Tim and it was a lot of fun, shooting down in New Orleans and hanging with the wonderful crew and cast. We're back at it now, and I have a bigger role in the 2nd season. Lots of lines to remember, but lots of fun too!

Another movie, Manifest West came out - That's the one by the Mel Gibson sons! I don't have a very big part but they threw me on the movie poster! hahah!  I look terrible in it - just fresh from a few months of lockdown, in Spring of 2020... It's a nice little movie.

On Cinema SEASON 13!!!! Wow, this one has been a RIDE! I hope you're caught up and following along, I've seen such nice things said about it, how it's as good as ever and all that stuff.. we're all very proud of this season, the twists and turns, the jokes and the incredible cast... we have a few more eps coming to wrap things up for the season. Stick around! Oscar Special 10 is around the corner!

One more treat for the end of the year - Eric and I, along with Jonah Hill and his company produced Andrew Callaghan's new movie coming to HBO next week: This Place Rules / this was a long time coming, with lots of work from our Abso crew of producers and editors to help finish this - lots of meetings and notes and discussions on how to make this very tricky thing - A movie about the 2020 election that didn't feel like anything you've seen before... I think it works and is funny, shocking and pretty sad.  My idea for the title, which was just a random placeholder in a notes email: "America Shits Itself" became the working title for a WHILE and was almost the title, but HBO killed it.  Seems benign enough for me, but whatta ya gonna do?

Peace and Love and Happy Holidays! See you in 2023!

Tim
