Good morning everyone!  Fun show! Therapy Gecko was a nice vibe to have in the studio and I love talking to Jordan Hoffman - I could have gone on and on with him about movies and maybe we will do that again soon. Wow, Dear Nora brought a beauty of a song! Great times!

Kids are decorating the tree while I watch some World Cup and write this missive to you.

We're be playing fast and loose with the show schedule for the next few weeks, as I'm working on the second season of Killing It.  Gratefully, instead of flying back and forth to New Orleans like I did last season,  this season is shooting down the road from me at Universal Studios! I gotta say it's still pretty cool to me to drive onto that lot.  Driving past all the huge soundstages while golf carts zoom in and out of side streets on James Stewart Boulevard, past Spielberg's Amblin outcropping of offices...  past the old western sets, the Amity Beach with Jaws himself off to the side...   The tour trams going by every few minutes and i try and wave at them every time I can. "hi everyone. I was in Us and Bridesmaids!" haha.... I did the tour when I was a kid and was chosen to be the kid in some ET simulation experience - well look at me now, ET!

The work so far as been good, everyone's nice - my friend Claudia's on the show and last season we didn't have any scenes together but this season we do so we get to hang when we're waiting to shoot. I have lots of wordy, precise lines to learn and that's not exactly  my stong suit, but i'm doing my best and trying to get better by coming in super prepared.

We're coming for you live next saturday and I wanna do a goof on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me (which i find to be the very lowest form of comedy! haha)

I was gonna make my favorite things of the year and maybe i still will, but will you jog my memory? what did you love this year?

Feel like FJM's Chole and the Next 20th Century is being criminally left off year end lists. Both a left turn and continuation of his trajectory as a living version of Nilsson Sings Newman.

E.T. is my favorite movie! I had no clue Universal had a thing like that! I know the one on Florida had a Back To The Future and Psycho one back in the day. I was always too young, then it closed. Disney had a Honey I Shrunk the Kids one where they’d pick kids to fly on the bee. But still, I was never old enough and then it closed. But Orlando still has the E.T. ride which I love! Any chance your family has a video or pictures of that experience? That would fascinate me a lot to see!
