What a show! i've long wanted Chelsea in the studio with us and knew she would fit in like a dang glove!  The night before she texted me, having just seen a clip from the new season of On Cinema - "Tim! I want to do this morning show with you!" i'm like Chels' this is On Cinema! I can't just fold you into it!  But it would be fun to do something like that with her - did you see our run of instagram videos where we added those crazy "plastic surgery looking" faces? I don't have them readily available for you but there's out there. we could do something like that.

I don't need to rehash the twitter/#trumpisdead stuff, except to recommend listening to this fascinating podcast where they interview a few people working at twitter. short story: it sounds like a mess!!

Thursday night I went to the premiere of the Weird Al Movie and laughed and laughed! i didn't really know what to expect but was happily surprised at how funny and ambitiously stupid it was. It took a bit from Walk Hard and there was plenty of good old fashioned Zucker Brothers style jokes. Everyone involved seem to be making it with exactly the right tone and heart. I just loved it and was so happy for Al, who is, seriously one of the sweetest, kindest people I know.  The movie is entirely fictional and it left me wanted to read the real Al story though. I'd read his memoir in a second.

After the screening, we milled about for a few and got to talking to Laraine Newman -- I've met her a few times before and she's always very nice and fun to talk to... then Bobcat Goldthwait comes over and we start talking - He launched in to how much he loved the Joe Rogan parody and Seth Green who was also in the mix hadn't seen it - So we're all standing around trying to email Seth and Laraine the link to the episode which i can't find... Anyway, driving home I was saying to my wife, how crazy it is to just be casually talking to these nice people who were so HUGE to me as a kid. Fuckin' Bobcat and Al were like superheroes to me.  Pretty neat!

Been going through our huge live archive of shows from the summer and i think we're going to do something with them.  Very rarely is there ONE show where everything's perfect. I miss a lyric, or the sound isn't mixed right - but there should be enough to put together a live record of some kind.  But i'll leak a track here for you - It was our last show of the bus tour, in Phoenix, and emotions were running high - as you all know we all had such a great time and were sad it was coming to an end. I was wondering if any of it would hit me on stage... We did Backwards and I had a few people come up on stage to dance with me for the end - This absolutely delightful young girl named Piper came up and just stole the show with her energy.  After the song, Piper returned to her front row seats with her parents and we launched into Nothing... A few minutes in I saw Piper and she was crying and that was all it took to push me over the edge... I lost it and choked my way though the second half. It felt good because there was so much feeling building up, it just needed to be released. So have yourself a cry, on me today.

And don't forget to vote, damnit!

Peace and Love, T
