hey everyone!  recovering from our final show in LA last night! It was a hot one, full of fun, friends and a little sadness but not too much sadness as there's already early talk of booking shows next year. I was tired as hell yesterday and tweaked my back loading my gear into my minivan.  Felt weird doing the show after 2 weeks off...  I blanked on a few standup moments, nothing anyone would have noticed but i could feel it that i was rusty... sorta made it fun though. We had a great crowd and really appreciated the chance to come back home and do it one more time.  We had a fun rehearsal the night before at Conner's studio and got a bit silly, with me now obsessed with late period Elvis...

Enjoy, and we got into a bit of "Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby" a Carl Perkins tune at the end!

PS> here's my little thanks you note i posted on instagram earlier, in case you missed it:

Well, that’s a wrap on the 2022 No More Bullshit/Very Good Band Tour! Holy Hell what a way to go out with a sold out, slightly wet,  @elreytheatre / I can’t express how grateful I am to all of you who came out and went on this journey with me… I didn’t really know if the show would work until we just dived in and did it… would anyone go? Would they all head for the exits after the first half? So much work by many generous and talented people (led by the impossible to appreciate and love enough JP Hasson went into getting us to a place where we had a chance of success. Thanks to all the venues: the bookers, production managers, security, runners, bartenders, everyone who made us feel at home wherever we were.

And of course I can’t say enough and won’t stop talking about my incredible Very Good Band…Josh Adams, Eliana Athayde, "Catfish" Conner Gallaher, Vic Berger... my A Team: the best players around and even better people, now lifelong friends. I love them all dearly. Until next time, until 2023… yea I don’t see me staying away too long 😉

Great show you guys ruled! Your and the band’s energy/synergy was infectious and really got me into even the songs I wasn’t familiar with. Super fun night ended by walking out into the cool summer rain afterwards, felt really magical.
