5月まで続く予定のBlenderを使ってケモノMuscle Growthアニメを作る解説シリーズ、今回は作品の企画の詰め方に焦点を当ててご紹介します。

「こんな作品を作りたい！」と思っても、「本当にこれは面白いのだろうか？」と疑問を抱くことがありませんか？

その答えの一つとして考えられるのが「アイコン性」という概念です。

アイコン性とは、「視聴者が期待するものや、ジャンル感が直感的に理解できるような特徴」を指します。

たとえば、探偵ものやラブコメものは、マンガの表紙や動画のサムネイルでその雰囲気が一目で伝わるようにすることが大切です。

Muscle Growthの作品においては、筋肉の膨張をイメージさせるビジュアルを前面に出すと良いでしょう。

良い参考例としては、前回も紹介したYouTube動画のサムネイル等がいいでしょう。

今回私が作る動画「リザードンMuscle Growth」のアイコンは、シンプルですがやはり「筋肉」としました。

この時点でアイコン性を意識しておくことで、作品の指標がより具体化し、表紙やサムネの最終系が見えてくるので作品が少しは作りやすくなると思います。

このアイコン性という考え方は、マンガ編集部コルクが提唱しているもので、同人誌やアニメ制作にも応用可能です。

連載漫画を作る際の知識なので、その場合は他にも考慮すべき要素がたくさんありますが、

今回は成人向けの同人マンガや動画においての話なので、企画についてはここまでで充分に思います。

さて、ここまででタイトルと企画の大枠が決定しました。

I want to make a work like this! but sometimes you wonder, "Is this really interesting?" But, don't you sometimes wonder, "Is this really interesting?

One possible answer to this question is the concept of "iconicity.

Iconicity refers to "characteristics that allow viewers to intuitively understand what they are expecting and the sense of genre.

For example, for detective or romantic comedy works, it is important that the cover of the manga or the thumbnail of the video conveys the atmosphere of the work at a glance.

In Muscle Growth works, visuals that evoke the image of muscular expansion should be placed at the forefront.

A good reference example would be the thumbnail of the YouTube video we introduced last time.

The icon for my video "Lizard Muscle Growth" is still "Muscle".

By being aware of iconicity at this point, the index of the work will become more concrete, which will make it easier to create.

This concept of iconicity is advocated by Cork, the manga editorial department, and can be applied to doujinshi and animation production as well.

It is knowledge for creating serialized manga, though, so there are many other factors to consider in that case,

However, since we are talking about adult-oriented doujinshi manga and animation, I think this is enough about planning.

Now that we have decided on the title and the general framework of the project, we will move on to storyboarding in the next issue.
