Like he said in the video, there was really no reason to Red Flag. IMO, as happy as I am with Max deservedly winning the championship (having barely put a foot wrong all season), Lewis deserved to win that race. It's a shame that winning the race was equivalent to winning the championship. But having said that, had Masi followed the rules, leading to a Lewis win, at least he would have left no room for confusion and protests and appeals and what-not. The season would have ended cleanly (albeit behind the SC) and everyone would eventually have moved on. What's the point in sports as a human endeavour if the only thing people care about is the entertainment value?

Never mind bungling the championship, strolls on board camera and radio of that last lap shows how unsafe it was to not let all cars pass. What an absolute shambles.
