A slightly different video this week looking at the characteristics of the modern Hermann Tilke tracks.

Just a small note: I found the purple highlights on the black tracks far too subtle to keep up with the pace you spoke about them. In future videos, where you’re trying to point out a specific section of track, I’d recommend a circle encompassing the section, or using a more drastic color change.

Thanks for this - that's a good point. I'll try and be more obvious is the focus has to be quick and direct

Awesome video Stuart! Note about COTA that seems to be lost to the sands of time: Tilke didn't design the track, Tavo Hellmund did. When the board of directors for COTA forcefully booted him from the project, they gave the plans to Tilke's group for refinement and implementation. But the vast majority of the design stayed the same. The Turn 1 elevation change and turns 3-7 complex were in the original design. A lot of this happened before the F1 contracts were signed, so there was not a lot of coverage about it. But those of us in Austin who were excited about the project saw this all unfold and some digging through the Austin-American Statesman archives should back up these claims.

ooooh that's a good shout - I'll add that to the description as I missed that!
