Hello all,

My aim for the next few months... well, til the end of the year, I guess, is to keep business as usual, plus start expanding my repertoire a little bit. As you know, I test the waters with a few things here and there to see what people like so I'll keep doing that.

There's some hopeful collaborations in the medium term future - not with other YouTubers but with a couple of journalists and experts and figures in parts of the industry. I'm making some connects to make some of my ideas happen.

I *should* hopefully have a video or two that gives the CBF1 treatments to the F1 2018 game in the next couple of months. I'm arranging things with Codemasters to get some insight there to sort of try and explain a bit of what they do there to make the F1 simulation work.

I'm also going to *touch* a bit on other motorsports. Formula E is the obvious one, but Formula 2, WEC, rallying, etc are all interesting especially when compared to F1.

I'm just going to see what I can do. I'm just one person right now after all - gotta to try to stop comparing myself to organisations that have many many hands on deck, I guess!

Thanks again for your continued support!

The F1 game stuff sound brilliant. I'd be really interested to hear how much Codies can model before the season and how much access they get (if any) to team data to help. Codie could do with getting you to do your explanation videos for the rules and penalties each year. The forums on steam have loads of people falling afoul of the mandatory tyre rule and unsure why they have penalties for component switches. I try to point them in the direction of your videos as your explanations make it so clear. Brilliant work. One query that I couldn't figure out from the regulations. In Germany Ricciardo took his third MGU-K, ES and CE. This meant he accumulated 30 places of penalties so went to the back (Until Gasly did some changes). Now my question is why didn't he also get a new ICE and a new TC at the same time. From this info: http://scuderiafans.com/power-unit-component-usage-ahead-2018-german-grand-prix/ He is already at 3 so why not grab a 4th now while the penalty cannot hurt you?

Thanks, that's very kind. I think a lot of them do watch my videos, it turns out so that's nice. As for the power unit parts: I'm not sure, to be honest. There's normally a good reason internally for these things. Sometimes the FIA make you prove you NEED to use a new part, but that's not very strict. It just must have been some internal strategic decision. Perhaps they were waiting for the updated components for Renault to be ready before swapping them out

I suspect you are right about waiting for a new component as he ended up rolling out the C-spec at Monza which looks like it comes with a new smoke machine component 😃
