Thanks for the chapter Out of curiosity, given the nature of the multiverse, did Jaycifer show them the Hogfather movie, or did the 'Hogfather' actually show up last winter?

That last bit was absolutely priceless. DEATH enjoyed being the Hogsfather, even if he didn't fully grasp the nuances at the time. Beyond that, I enjoyed the inner monologue going with the scene. It helped spell things out, but it does result in the part with Piper becoming repetitive. As you end up explaining the situation to the reader twice. It might flow better if the Medarda discussion was told from the perspective of Mel's assistant, to better grasp the power dynamics in play, from both perspectives. Then have the Piper teaching moment after.

The repetition was to firmly establish it, as some people need that extra wrap-up, but now that everything's been established we don't need to swing back again, while also showing that Jaycifer hasn't really been teaching Piper politics, but that she's smart enough to get it, while still having her childish, but positive, outlook on things.
