Nice cliffhanger. I enjoyed the bats as a form of sensory deception, and it seems you've got a whole mess of underground mysteries to come back to later. ACE continues to be my favorite story of the 3 that I've read so far. With MHA coming second, and DR being last. But I have been busy so I haven't kept up with MHA , and I just stopped reading DR after the spider arc. As interesting as the worldbuilding was, the characters just couldn't keep my interest. In any case, ACE is the reason I put my support in, so keep up the good work.

While this was entertaining, I really hope Jayce is approaching the undercity by now. Its hard to keep track of how long he's been down there, but he is supposed to be n a pretty tight time limit to maintain his cover and as far as I can tell he is nearing it
