Moving on, and helping Ruby.

Oh~ why do you ask Ruby? Still too young but the later potential is there!

Oooof. Hope we move from the relationship drama soon. Definitely loved the casual world building u do. One of the main reasons ur my only Partreon.

Nice world building as we get another in depth look into some of Beacons lesson plans. I have to say I'm really enjoying the thought that has been put into something like the students homework. Rather than a throw away line about the team having to waste time on homework, we get an look into the minds of the teaching staff (mainly Oobleck and Ozpin), an awareness of the reality of the current political climate, a hint in what professional hunters are being trained to do (contrasted with Ruby's innocence) and topped off with the realisation that the vast majority of these lessons seem to be going well over most of the first years heads. I'm kind of wondering if this is something that only a few of the first years know about, but is more widely known amongst the older students. With regards to the follow up from the break up, I find myself immensely relived that much of the awkward "we live in the same room and are no longer talking" has been skipped over. With that being said the part of me that is powered by schadenfreude is a bit disappointed that I couldn't read about the incredibly awkward situation that is their dorm room. Ruby's adorable, to no ones surprise. Doing what she can to help the people she loves even if she doesn't know what's wrong or how to fix it. Fantastic. I know the shippers will want me dead for what I'm about to say (especially with Ruby's last line from the update) but the situation between Jaune and Ruby gave me some major Dad vibes here. Ruby's reaction to Jaune and Yangs breakup really reminded me more of how a child reacts when their parents are getting divorced. She seemed to try and take responsibility of what she saw as the problem onto herself in the hopes that that would make everything better between Jaune and Yang. From my point of view Ruby always comes off as someone too young to be a serious consideration for a romantic partner, by which I mean she is too emotionally immature and naive. Jaunes reaction to Ruby pulling him aside was both sad and understandable. Even more so when you consider he didn't do that when talking to Cinder. But Cinder isn't related to the girl he just broke up with, So again, understandable. I do hope that Jaune will make a habit of recording his conversations going forward, not with his friends but if he speaks with someone like Cinder again. Potential error: I'm not sure of the best method of letting you know on Patron but I think the line "Would you want to be someone who just lets you talk" should probably be "Would you want to be with someone who just lets you talk".

Phyrra’s eyes are going to roll out of her skull at Jaune’s obliviousness to Ruby’s last question. It’s a good thing she knows who she’s with. I wonder if we’ll be seeing a Yang pov sometime soon. This is my favorite story of yours and I hope to see it updated more frequently.

Very nice chapter, love the world building and I think that Jauncifer should talk to the wizard about........ ugh........ Politics (from the root Poly = Many and Tics = Blood sucking insects)

Also, Yang needs a female role model to talk to so, so badly. Because her only available role models are the ones she holds responsible for not “being a man” and stopping her mom from leaving.

PublicLee Speaking

Definitely. Yang has issues, but they're understandable issues. The problem is that the very issues she has prevents Jauncifer from helping her, as his status as a man, and a boyfriend especially, pigeonholes him in a way he can't do anything about.
