Hey all, so, I haven't written much this week (really just the one chapter that was due today (technically yesterday)). That is because I managed to stress my back, and thought, 'hey, I'm injured, I should treat it with rest!'

Yeah, turns out that is literally the worst thing you can do to a lower back injury, for complex spine reasons and stuff (it's not actually sore, but tight, like a cramp that never ends, and laying down just makes it tighter). So I felt worse the next day, and went, 'Oh, I guess I was really hurt, I need to rest even more!'

Yeah, so, day three, can barely walk, went to talk to a medical professional and find out I was a complete idiot. So, been getting better last couple days, walking, stretching, and sitting, but it's hard to focus on writing when you're in pain, but I'm now on the other end of it, so I should have another chapter up on Sunday. 

I just wanted to give everyone an update, and, if you hurt your lower back, counterintuitively, going for a walk helps, fucking somehow (just don't overdo it because there's a point of sharply diminishing returns (thankfully didn't hit that one too)).

With any luck, we'll be back to our regularly scheduled 3-5 chapters a week next week!

Try stretching a rubber band, if you stretch hard enough it stays a bit deformed. Thats the same principle

Yeah, back issues are no fun. Sitting wrong, lying down if the support or position isn't just right, lots of things can make it worse. If you have access to a spa or pool might be good, allow you to move while taking the gravity load off of it?
