Yeah, this is becoming a theme... MC explains himself very clearly and then other party completely ignores everything he said and gets butt hurt and angry right at the point where they should be calming down. Giving the MC an excuse to storm away dramatically and feel self righteous. It at least made sense in Abbadon somewhat because panacea had a space worm in her head mastering her into conflict. Here it felt really forced and preachy. Loved the Ozpin scene though.

I didn't think it felt like that though. I thought that others have said stuff like that to Yang before this. So she thought he said it like that and just listened enough from him to know when he paused his talk to her. She was very emotional and thought she knew what she was going to hear so she stopped listening. I've meet people like that. I haven't read enough for his other works though to know the difference.

Hey look an excuse for the MC to be a self righteous prick instead of working on himself! It’s a running theme! Seriously I love the story and the characters, and yes the MC has a very valid reason to be angry but to throw someone’s genuine apology and attemp to better themselves in their teeth. Man he needs a reality check, the MC doesn’t have an omniscient morality license and he isn’t always the victim. Yes he has a very, very shitty life before this but he needs to grow, he is starting to feel incredibly one dimensional now.
