Of course the one observant guy in the setting is a cut-throat murderer.

is the idea that Eidolon and Glaistig Uaine (and also presumably the Butcher) can't have more then 3 powers at a time a difference from canon, or would Bonesaw just not be aware of the fact they can wield more then 3 at once? (though considering how minor the powers Eidolon gets when he tries for 4 , it might be the case that when he has four abilities, one of the powers is just a sub-ability of one of the other powers)

It's something that's heavily hinted at, and in the CYOA there's a hard-limit you need to spend extra points to surpass for each one past the third. Like all things in Worm Canon, though, Wildbow refuses to answer straightforward questions, or pulls his 'fake mathematician's answer' BS where, for the real one you're presented with two options that are both true and you say 'yes' to the either-or question, but he's given two literally incompatible answers and he says 'yes' as in 'yes it's one of these, I'm not saying which', only later on and 'reveals' (decides) it was neither all along. So, I'm just saying the hard-cap is three, unless you cheat like Glaistig, where she only has three, but one of her three is Eidolon who himself has access to any three.
