Working 11 hour shifts sucks, and is somewhat enervating. Next AB chapter probably on Monday, as I'm busy as all hell the next two days as well.

As for this chapter: Weapons class goes. . . . well, it goes.

O_o So. Does the bitch actually have a "logical" justification for acting like that, even if it anyone else would call it out as complete BS? (Example: Animal jingoism, livestock being a common target for Western dragons.)

PublicLee Speaking

She does, though it's not going to be mentioned for several chapters. Mind you SHE could've handled it better, so she's not entirely blameless here, but its enough so that she thinks she's justified. All the worst assholes usually think they are perfectly allowed to be that way, after all.

Pope Yoda I

I like the chapter, though the protagonist is a bit... weepy. I hope to see some character strengthening occuring as the story progresses. Tim is a boss. I'd really like to see him go full-blown megalomaniac if he ever encounters an unattended (or terrorist attended) warehouse full of dust. Don't forget to kit him out with an appropriate wizard hat (and baller blast goggles). Don't forget to proceed cautiously as you work in various interpersonal dynamics, less you fall into the shitty railroading tropes and crappy character caricatures. I really like your methodical approach to character interaction and development. If you're ever curious, Jim Butcher's journal on writing tips (especially his methods for creating likable villains) is fantastic.
