This was the book i “published” my senior year at Syracuse University. I think i made about 400 of them. It was printed entirely for free thanks to dozens of SU students who each kindly lent me their passwords in order to use their remaining print quota.

I’m still fond of the raw, copycenter-collated look, which was cutting edge at the time. They sold like wildfire for 5 bucks a pop, just outside the art building on campus on one sensational sunny day. I held onto about 10 of these to send to newspapers after i graduated.

The recent fly comic that i did with Evan reminded me of some of the nasty work from the era, especially this heavy-handed fly comic from 2001, which somehow did not even make it into the revised Almanack.

Ahhh I love the print quota payment plan! Brilliant. And wow, 400, that's a LOT in college years!
