Hi Patrons. Today's "comic" is a collaboration with my old friend Albert Birney!

Establishing a friendship with Albert my freshman year in college was very much like the founding of a church- one based on seeking the unlikely hidden treasures of our universe. The early days of our friendship were a time of considerable mental experimentation, none of it drug-induced. We carefully listened to music we did not enjoy, analyzed dreams, and partook in psychic experiments, all of it with the conviction that life is too absurd for words.

I think I'm right in saying that only the collision of inappropriate images (and maybe the writings of Hermann Hesse) ever truly expressed our feelings about the cosmic bungle into which we are all born. That awareness has never really left our conversations. I like to think it still shows up in the comic from time to time. It was with Albert that the first PBF comic was created. He has consistently inspired me ever since, acting as editor, spiritual guide, and creative advisor. Thank you, Albert. I laughed so hard while working with you on today's comic.

With co-director Kentucker Audley, Albert has recently completed a feature film called "Strawberry Mansion". I just had the immense pleasure of viewing it at Sundance's online film festival. It is a smorgasbord of unbridled imagination, and I recommend it to treasure-seekers everywhere.  You can find his serialized 8-bit buddy-adventure saga on instagram at @tuxandfanny.

Thanks to Angelina of Rochester, NY for stepping in as our sexy faxxer.

Just making sure I get it: The joke is that it comes out disappointingly unrealistic?
