A most interesting story ahead!! American man called Lawrence Siegel in 1994 watched the Akira movie and went to Japan to get license for make a game. He was the head of the company Black Pearl Software. He met Otomo Katsuhiro who create Akira who sell him a license and then start to make the game in 1993. There was a early version shown at the "SCES' show in 1994. This show was a game show called Summer Consumer Electronics Show in the USA.. It showed many stage in the game that people could play even with lot of bugs and crashing. The stages had much variety of styles with some racing and 3D and some action platform.

Unfortunately the game was canceled and never again see by anyone. Nobody could find the prototype!! 😣

But after almost 30 years wait a prototype was found!! And in this prototype there are many stages but no stages can be finished. So instead you must press start to change the stages and try different ones. The version found is actually older than that one shown at SCES show in 1994 and some enemies and other things are not there.

Because this game was not released I have included the ROM file for you to try for yourself on Mega Drive emulation! 🤗

Please grab it below and enjoy the interesting history!!
