Hi guys and gals,

this post offers you a collection of news about the next version of Holiday Island (0.4.5.0).
You can see the main focus and side areas for the next update in the above image.

The change log below is based on the release 0.4.1.0.

As of right now, the update from 0.4.1.0 to 0.4.5.0 has:
738 additional renders, videos or sound files (only includes post worked, finished renders)
8 new backgrounds for the phone
443 updated renders

New features, major improvements and new content

  • Natasha gets extended night bar drink scenes for all outfits -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Natasha's scene in the night bar's ladies room has been remade -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Yvette gets an apointment at the gym shower at night, that will be based on the scene, but with some additional images and a different vibe and text to it -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Yvette gets a new gym shower scene with two achievements and a happy ending (or two, depending on endurance) -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Yumiko gets an appointment in the player room that is based on the lingerie event with Jennifer, but uses some additional images. The appointment is repeatable and will only feature Yumiko -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Yumiko gets a posing event wearing the pink lingere -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • After Jennifer has left after the pole dance, Yumiko stays a little longer with a happy ending for both of them) -> will be part of 0.45.0

  • Yumiko and jennifer get a pole dance event in the MC's room wearing sexy lingerie) -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Jennifer gets an event in the hallway where she shows the island to her visting friend Sam(antha) -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Yumiko and Jennifer get a new event at the bar where they talk about an award winning lingerie design -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Renée's Hotshots hot scene will be rerendered and extended with an up close and personal second part upstairs in the green room -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Renée gets an erotic massage scene with two achievements -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Desire gets a new beach walk scene with two achievements and a happy ending -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Natasha gets a beach pose scene -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Natasha's beach walk scene has been remade -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Yvette gets a new workout yoga scene -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Amy gets a new event in the player room, which mainly plays outside in the hot tub. -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Aly's event at the beach near the ocean where she shows the MC a picture of jennifer has been rerendered and new pictures have been added. Dialogue has been improved and the event is now repeatable. -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Yvette's bad dream event has been rerendered and enhanced. Dialogue has been improved as well -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Natasha gets a shower scene at the pool -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Natahsa's pool play scene has been rerendered and a lot of new images have been added. Dialogue has been rewritten as well -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Renée gets a new and longer workout bench press scene with a posing event and a happy ending -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Yvette gets a new and extended workout weight lifting scene with three achievements -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Mia's treatment is finished and she leaves the island, saying goodbye to our hero -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

Minor improvements and changes (inlcuding image upgrades)

  • Next game version will be 0.4.5.0 instead of 0.4.2.0 to better reflect game progress

  • The phone gets a new button in the character overview screen to display only characters with open achievements -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Natasha's workout weight lifting scene has been rerendered -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Natasha gets the butt pose actions at the night bar -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • The display of max affection and max love changes have been moved from the ugly top overlay to the new logic where it's shown on the left same way as all other stat changes are shown. -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • The old posing interface (where you can zoom in/out and can ask the girl to turn left or right) has been upgraded to support better conversations between the characters. The MC can answer now, same as he already can with the new posing interface. -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • All the MCs masturbation images have been upgraded to 2560x1440 webp format -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Yvette's pool play scene has been rerendered and the dialogue has been improved -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Renée gets the pose butt sprites for the night bar -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Renée's night bar drink scene has been upgraded to 2560x1440 resolution webp format and a couple of renders have been added. Dialogue has been improved too -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Heather's extended beach pose scene (with Jessica) has been upgraded and the animation has been rerendered with higher frame rate and higher resolution -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Heather's pool play scene has been upgraded to 2560x1440 resolution webp format -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Jessica's pool play scene has been upgraded to 2560x1440 resolution webp format -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Desire's pool jump in and exit scenes have been upgraded to 2560x1440 resolution webp format -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Amy's extended pool play scene has been upgraded to 2560x1440 resolution webp format -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Eva's pool play scene has been upgraded to 2560x1440 resolution webp format -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Alice's pool play scene has been upgraded to 2560x1440 resolution webp format -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

  • Aly's sexting image from the pool will be send now together after a short chat -> will be part of 0.4.5.0

Bug fixes

  • Improved stability and compatibility when loading older save games -> will be fixed with 0.4.5.0

  • During Yvette's beach scene, a crash with AttributeError: 'cl_character' object has no attribute 'change_afffection' could occur -> will be fixed with 0.4.5.0

  • During the weight lifting workout with Eva when you get the quest to learn how to change the weights, the menu becomes unresponsive -> will be fixed with 0.4.5.0

Is the update going to break save games?

Mia NEEDS a night bar scene before she departs, and maybe some one-on-one time with MC as well. She has to show MC what she can do too now that's she's feeling so much better! Also, any chance some animation could be added to Amy's pool scene, like when she and MC are alone? I know it involves a lot of work, but it would be SO worth it!

There is a story and so far it has progressed over time, but it is not the main focus of the game and the story content is therefore limited currently.

Well to be honest, I think most people would be prefer the story to progress a bit faster, instead of re-rendering or improving existing scenes constantly. On the other hand, I understand the decision to maintain that older content. It's just less interesting for existing players.

Is there a way to force an interaction to happen? Been trying for weeks in game to get Mercedes to flex for me at the pool to unlock the underground lab and it just won’t happen, I have a protein shake and I’m making sure I only go there when there is no one else at the pool

For Merecedes flexing for you at the pool, you need to advance her quest about Mercedes/Miriam relation. You might need to talk with Miriam at the beach first. To get the underground lab sequence, you need to jog at the beach around noon and hurt your ankle after you have finished Mercedes' strength quest line and have advanced the Mercedes/Miriam relation quest line far enough.

Im new here, found the game a few days ago. I like the game, good job! I use the phone to check what else i need to do the get all the scenes and im basically 90% done. I dont know if anyone has asked this yet but why are there no ANAL scenes or options in the game? I also really like the young lab girl! Would love more content from her but im pretty sure she has got lots to do with the main story so i bet we will be seing more of her. Keep up the great work!

I seriously think your game is great and well done, but unfortunately it doesn‘t even have machine-translated Chinese subtitles. It would be more perfect if it existed, and it could be sold on Steam. Imagine a great and fun game, but it only has Chinese subtitles or Japanese subtitles. Do you feel any pity in your heart?

I am REALLY looking forward to seeing 4.2! I imagine it might come out next month some time. Looking forward to Yvette's and Amy's new content especially! Something came to mind (say it with me...AGAIN! LOL) about Mercedes and Miriam though. If they're at the pool and beach all day in those incredible bathing suits, wouldn't their butts be nice and tan by now without Sara's special lotion? I mean, their tan lines are definitely exposed enough to tan up nice by now! Maybe something to think about in a future update? Again, just trying to help the best game out there!

Thank you for the kind words. The thing with the tan lines is that I cannot just make them go away. I would have to render all the images again without them. There also is the consistentcy thing to consider. So it would be a lot of effort. Too much to be a good investment of time.

I know that would be an incredible nightmare to go back through like that, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone, let alone my favorite author! No, I mean since they've been there a while now, they should be losing those tan lines naturally because of exposure on the job. Go to the massage parlor. While there, you can either get a massage or go to the sauna. Look in the box upper right corner for the figure facing you sitting on a bench. That will get you to the sauna, but you can only access it on Tuesday or Friday.

LOVE the idea for Yumiko's pink lingerie! I know you've got TONS of things going on with the Island already, and lots more ideas to integrate possibly, but I had a thought about maybe expanding the photo shoots. With so many ultra-hot girls on the island, perhaps we could do shoots with Yvette, Amy, or even Yumiko. Again, my brain just trying to help enhance your incredible game!

Found a minor bug with Brenda: When you start a new game (doesn't matter if you start it directly from the menu or if you load a game first), she will already have the skimpy bikini on. But I guess you have to unlock it first, coudn't test this variant. She does not automaticaly wear the swimwear from the latest safegame (made one, where she wore the normal bikini and she still showed in the new game with the skimpy one up.)

It's not a bug. Brenda will switch to her skimpy bikini when she is your plane gilr ans she proposes to meet you at the pool after the planegirl arrival scene. Other girls also do that switch. If she is not your plane girl, she will wear her basic swimwear at the beginning. There is no swimwear switch during the save game update phase. So no idea how it should happen or change while you load a game. The outfit is not related to save games from earlier playthroughs. You also cannot unlock an outfit and have it in a new game automatically.

There will have to be pre beta testing and some game integration, save game compatibility stuff to do. So it won't be in the next days. But it's not too far off now either.

Personally, I don't have saves like that. I generally save when Yumiko sends me one of her game pics. I don't really bother with saving specific "girls."
