Hi guys and gals, this post offers you a collection of news about the next main version of Holiday Island (0.1.1 beta). 

There will be smaller, more frequent content updates, called content addons. They will include bug fixes and new content as well.
The change log below is based on the beta 0.1.0.0 release.

0.1.1 beta will include everything from 0.1.0.0 alpha including all content addons and bug fixes.

The next release is 0.1.1.0 beta  (content addon 1) which includes bug fixes and some new content as well.

The update has 378 new renders and videos right now!

New features and content  

  • Natasha gets a very long event in the gym at night --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Possibility to display mutliple images and switch between them has been added to the progress and interactions app --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Heather gets an improved weightlifting scene with addional renders and dialogue --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Renée gets the workout weightlifting scene --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Renée gets the walk on the beach scene --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Yvette gets and extended scene where you can catch her masturbating --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Faye gets her pole dance scene in a skimpy outfit with an animation --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Amy gets a new appointment - a trip on a sail boat for a whole day  (in development) --> this is a longer scene, that will not yet be included in 0.1.1.0 beta
  • Groping and fondling Jennifer at the gym and the night bar has been added --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Jennifer will explain how to work out for strength and endurance gains to best effect if you ask her at the gym --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta 
  • Yvette gets the pool play scene --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Yvette gets a (non optional) replacement for her basic swimsuit --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Groping and fondling a girls chest has been added to the game as a new "intimate action"  --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Clothes change at reception will be added. You can either ignore the reception girl or spend a lot of time with her to make her change her clothes --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • You can hug/kiss/give presents to Amy, Alice, Aly, Desire, Heather, Yvette, Natasha, Jessica at the reception --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Yvette gets a new scene at the reception during daytime --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Alice gets an additional poker image without the stockings and she got some personalized poker talk as well --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Alice, Aly, Amy, Desire, Faye, Heather, Jessica, Natasha, Yvette get an additional set of reception clothes. There is also an additional closeup image for each of the mentioned girls now --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Natasha gets an extended room service scene with an animation --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Desire gets some sexting images --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  

Minor improvements and changes  

  • Cooldown for each girl and a specific sexting message has been increased from 48 hours to 96 hours. This will make it more likely to get a sexting message of a lower tiers you haven't seen instead of getting the same ones from a higher tier. --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • An overview screen to directly select the girl has been added to the progress/interactions as well now, similar to the contacts overview. --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Charm will have a positive effect on affection gains when talking about topics to girls. The probability that a neutral topic will get a positive effect has been increased as well --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Negative effect of declining the sun lotioning has been reduced --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • The phone icon has been enabled at the reception area. --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  
  • Texts when a girl gets a present has been improved. They will no longer say strange things like I love "red rose".  --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta 
  • New sexting texts have been added for all girls that can use sexting --> will be part of 0.1.1.0 beta  

Bug fixes 

  • Writing a code base for hacking doesn't work for hacking level 3 --> will be fixed with 0.1.1.0 beta 
  • Erotic massage scene can lead to c crash: KeyError: u'char1'  File "game/loc_massage.rpyc", line 161, in script  --> will be fixed with 0.1.1.0 beta 
  • Heather cosplay scene is not shown as "completed" on the phone --> will be fixed with 0.1.1.0 beta 
  • Heather sun lotion scene doesn't start --> will be fixed with 0.1.1.0 beta 
  • Aly herself talk options are broken and lead to a crash --> will be fixed with 0.1.1.0beta 
  • Kissing Jennifer did not work in the gym  --> fixed with 0.1.0.2 beta  
  • Natasha herself talk options are broken and lead to a crash --> fixed with 0.1.0.2 beta  
  • Wellness massage did not display the intended images --> fixed with 0.1.0.2 beta  
  • Version management bug, version 0.1.0.0 was not recognized as a valid save in 0.1.0.1 beta  --> fixed with 0.1.0.2 beta 
  • If you start a new game, improving the hacking function is not working --> fixed with 0.1.0.1 beta
  • Unfortunately, there is a bug in the affection change function. so you cannot change the girl's affection. It's just a small thing in code, but it's game breaking --> fixed with 0.1.0.1 beta 

Is the update going to break save games?:  
0.1.1.0 beta (content addon 1) --> Save games from 0.0.8 and later can still be used. Earlier saves are no longer supported.

maybe you should change the title from 0.1.1 to 0.11 so people can see that the game has been worked on for some time. There are so many 0.1 games that never really improve after the the first release, and it would be sad, if someone who just found this game, would think it is one of them.

As more girls do sexting (which I'm very excited about), you may need to add something to make it so the girls don't repeat images. Otherwise it will take a very long time to collect them all. Not for this update, but maybe the next one. Also we should have all images appear on the phone under scenes. Some of the girls send pics which aren't listed.

It should already be so that you get all images of a category once before they repeat. I won't add all images to the phone as scenes. But you can already use them as the girl's contact pic.

Something I'd love to see in the future, the ability to invite girls over for some great passionate sex, as well as add some exhibition with Yvette that allows you to do her out on the beach/at the pool.

There's another renpy error at the end of the Yvette event when she comes to your room at night. I don't have the log but I succeeded in getting her to blow me and just before the hourglass picture came up (to say the schedule is being made) there was a renpy error. Thankfully I was able to simply click ignore and proceed as normal.

Thanks for reporting it, but it doesn't help without the trace file. I have no way of fixing or ananlyzing it just from the description.

Some Bugs that I have noticed: Heather and Faye can be reception and maseuse at the same time, if I ignore Yvette she eventually offers the reward scene without ever initiating pullups with her.

So I've had a crash at both endings of Yvettes nightmare scene now, both the bj ending and the fuck ending. Here is the full traceback for the renpy error at the end of sex. Hi, the maseuse job assignment is different from all the other jobs. I don't consider it a bug. The Yvette reward scene can be had by letting her win the butt contest or by helping her do pull ups. There is no other way to get it.

When the MC gives a gift, he appears on the right side. Then image for hugging comes next, and he appears on the left side. It seems like the MC jumps to the other side of the girl. Can the hugging image be flipped so that there seems to be continuity from the gift giving to the hugging?

It might not be possible for this update (which is quite ambitious), but could you change the way Strength & Endurance & Looks build up to be more like Charm & Sneak. At least make it so that if you do more than 3 Strength or Endurance exercises, it doesn't impede your progress. As I said, without cheating, it took me 195 days to max out my stats.

I have a bit a different opinion about it. I finally took some time to really play my own game :) Charm and sneak are leveling up too fast. Mist of all charm. I had it maxed out in 2 weeks, starting with the charm "perk". Endurance is about okay for me. Especially since there is no need to have it maxed out. Strength is different. It levels far too slow, especially since tge max value is 10. Even if you could manage to level up every week, it would still take 8 weeks to max out. Although you don't need more than 6 strength right now, I try to make it faster. To be honest, I haven't thought about or leveled looks that much. Well in the end, the goal is not to max everything as fast as possible, but to make it a part of the game and advance as you play. There is no need to max everything.

Could you please do a selection screen with an overview of the girls in the progress menu like you did with the contacts? It really is a pain to flick through all pages when looking for a specific girl. Would be an amazing QOL improvement.

It annoyed me too. I always use the contacts overview to select the girl and then go back to the progress/intercations. I added an overview screen to the progress/interactions as well now.

I had almost forgotten about these two. Both are about half way finished. I think I can include the workout event in 0.1.1. The other one is too big, it would require too much time. But I will try to keep it in mind for the update after 0.1.1

This new update gets better & better! The ability to use your phone to look at all images & zoom & scroll is great. Add to that the ability to see all scenes like a slideshow is even better! I know how much work it must have been, but I think it'll be worth it.

Maybe you should consider releasing an update on 7/20 with what you have finished & call it Add On 3, then get the rest out in the middle of August. That would keep your schedule intact without losing your numbering system.

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. The numbering is not a problem, but I need to finish certain stuff before I can do a release. Because very often started but unfinished stuff doesn't mean not available, but broken or with errors.

Yes, I've made the same mistake again and included/started far too many things. The list of unfinished stuff gets longer and longer: - Natasha night visit scene - Amy jog on the beach scene - Extension to the breast compare event - wet-T contest - more massage stuff - the huge sail boat trip - ... And on top of that there is Eva as the next focus girl :)

You cannot directly. Either ignore the reception girl for some time, or be nice to her: talk to her, hug and kiss her, bring her gifts. After some time she will change on her own.
