What happens if you give a gargoyle the power of Midas' touch? The answer is more statues. So many more statues.

Thankfully they don't turn into living statues themselves or else there would be nothing but living golden statues in no time. It doesn't change the fact, however, that the victims are still conscious within their golden prison. 

They are still able to hear, see and feel everything around them, but they are powerless to stop it. Some see it as a form of torture, others view it as the ultimate bondage experience. In any case, should you see a stone statue with golden hands, stay far away from it if you don't want to end up as a monster's petrified toy.
