Mimics in the world of Heavy Wards Are believed to be the land dwelling relatives of Cuttlefish and Octopi. unlike their aquatic cousins, Mimics have far greater ability  to manipulate the papillae and chromatophores in their Skin. allowing them to change their appearances to look like chests and other inanimate objects. instead of shooting ink, mimics secrete a sticky substance that causes things that touch them to stick to them helping them catch pray.
