Hey folks! As you've probably seen, the John Company tutorial is live! This one was a much bigger project than I anticipated, but I think it turned out really well. And people seem to be liking it, so that always makes it worth the hours put in.

Now all I have to do is make the beginner strategy video for it and then I'll be moving on to the next thing, which as I've mentioned before, is a brand new Tim Fowers game called RUN

It's an excellent two-player hidden movement game that I'm very excited to cover! And then of course, once I'm done with that I'll be moving on to Barrage, which all you fine folks voted on as my next Patreon-sponsored game! I haven't played that one yet, but I'm excited to give it a try. In the meantime, I played a couple games this month that I wouldn't mind mentioning.

Arcane Wonders is doing a big media push at the moment and has been sponsoring a lot of streams as of late. One of which is the Silver Medal Tavern, which happens to be based out of LA, so they asked me to come and guest on that stream to play Dice Manor, shown above, alongside Banzainator and Amanda Panda. This is a really cool tile laying game with a dice-based auction system that I haven't seen anywhere else. You only have four rounds to build your manor, so the game runs very quickly. It's a tight system that I'd definitely recommend giving a try.

I also played Furnace: Interbellum over at SMT with Paula Deming and Ruel Gaviola, and I definitely like this game better with the expansion. Base game Furnace is also a quick game with an interesting auction mechanic, but I felt it was a little dry at times. This expansion really opens it up and provides new options during the auction that I very much appreciate. If you want to watch that playthrough, you can do so here

Oh, and I'll be streaming Neotopia with the Brothers Murph on Thursday, so make sure to check that out!

And the last one I want to talk about is this thing called Fatum. It's not a game, it's actually a way of randomly coming up with characters for an RPG. In this case it was for a DnD game I'm starting soon, but I think they have decks that work for other systems as well. Anyway, our DM had this and wanted to try it so we all drew out cards to see what our characters would be, with a system in place to change things if we really don't like something we draw. While random generation is not for everyone, I think this is a great way to manage it if you are open to the idea. And for the new players in our group, this was a very helpful tool to get over the stress of choosing classes and coming up with interesting ideas. Now all I have to do is decide what this all means for me.

Anyway, that's all for this month. As always, thank you all for supporting the channel! It really means a lot to me, and I'm looking into ways to make it more worth the investment. Expect a poll or something similar soon. Bye!
