Hey folks! There was a TON of variety in the suggestions post and a lot of games got second place, so I had to choose between several great choices. Because of that, I'm throwing in an extra one for you all to choose from. As always, the poll will run for two weeks, you can vote for as many games as you like, and the 2nd place game will reserve a spot on the next poll.

John Company 2nd Edition - This game was a strong second place choice in the last poll, so we're bringing it back for another shot. While I haven't had a chance to play it yet, it comes highly recommended by some people I trust on the topic. This is a game about managing the East India Trading Company and trying to build generational wealth for your family. I like that, same as Pax Pamir, Wehrlegig Games is not shying away from the heaviness of it's theme, but instead using it to help you understand just how much impact these horrible people could have.

Barrage - The most requested game by the suggestions team was this heavy euro about establishing hydroelectric supremacy. While I haven't played it, this game has quite the reputation for being cutthroat and unforgiving, two things that greatly increase the need for a solid teach before playing. There are also some expansions out there, so I'd definitely try to teach those as well.

Lords of Ragnarok - One of the many 2nd place choices in the suggestion polls is this follow up to Lords of Hellas by Awaken Realms. This god-fueled area control game is enormous in scope and, as with so many Awaken Realms games, absolutely stunning to look at. And a bonus for me is that I'm already going to be making a runthrough of this game for Rahdo, so I'm expecting to get a copy of it any day now.

Expeditions - While there are a few videos for this game in the wild already, I also know how much people love Scythe. While the gameplay for this sequel seems to be quite different, it still brings more of the artwork and atmosphere that drew so many people in to the first one. And if I'm being honest, a "card-driven, engine-building game of exploration" actually has more appeal than the base game, so I'd be very eager to try it out.

Beyond the Sun - And my editor's choice is the sci-fi tech tree game that seems to get more popular as time goes on. Enough so that there's an expansion out, and I'd love to cover both. This might be the nerdiest thing I've ever said (up there with, I teach board games for a living) but I love a good tech tree. Games like Civilization and Endless Space always delight me with the possibilities, and I love that the designers of BtS have distilled that into a solid board game experience, so I'd love to cover it.

But what do you think? Let me know which game(s) you want me to cover!
