Still Shambling On (June 2023 Newsletter) (Patreon)

Hey folks, this is gonna be a short one because I'm fighting a nasty cold at the moment. After avoiding getting it from my wife for a whole week I let myself think I was in the clear, but unfortunately that was not the case. Anyway, Food Chain Magnate is up! Please check it out if you haven't already, as I think I did a pretty good job with it. I had a lot of fun making the little pizza ad in the beginning too. Designed three different versions of it.

I went with the middle one, but that last one still makes me giggle. Anyway, I wish I could show some cool board game pictures but the fact is that I just haven't played that much lately. While hunkering down to finish FCM and caring for/being a sick person, I just haven't gotten much to the table. I did get to play Planet B over on Rahdo's channel though, which I quite enjoyed. It's a very silly economic game with a bit of engine building and a lot of dumb jokes that I quite appreciate.

Other than that I've just been playing video games. Highly recommend Jedi Survivor for adventure and lightsaber shenanigans. Had a good time with Spider-Man: Miles Morales, but thought it was way too short. Finally got around to playing Inscryption, which, if you haven't tried it and like games like Slay The Spire, just get it without looking into it too much. It will not disappoint. And lastly I've been dipping my toe into an early access game called Endless Sky. If you ever played any of the Escape Velocity games back in the day, this is essentially that. It's not finished, but there's still a lot to love.
