I'm sure you all know, but LA (and California in general) is in a pretty sorry state at the moment. One of the fires hit particularly close to home this week, though thankfully I didn't have to evacuate. To take my mind off things I managed to play a game set in a not-on-fire Los Angeles of yesteryear. Detective: City of Angels is a detective game (obvs) much like Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective but with...actual gameplay. I quite enjoyed it, though I did win and I always try to temper my excitement about a game if I won it the first time I played. Regardless, if you feel like a competitive deduction game is what you need, I would recommend checking it out.

Another game I want to recommend is Unmatched, a very asymmetrical skirmish game with some incredible art design. Seriously, click on that link and look at more of the pictures. I got to play this with Mike of The Brothers Murph on their Twitch stream a couple weeks ago and I had a blast. Nick (the other brother) painted their set and I wish I had taken pictures of all of them because they are beautiful.

And I got to play an old favorite of mine: Middle Earth Quest. I've talked about this game before, so I won't spend too much time. Suffice it to say that this ten year old game still has legs, despite being in no way a perfect game.

In more RTFM centric news, I'll be releasing the Rules Lawyer exclusive Star Wars videos in the coming weeks, along with a video commissioned by OOMM Games for Battle Bears, which is a very cute arena style game coming to Kickstarter soon. Besides that, I'm moving full steam ahead on the Anachrony video. Man that game presents some interesting choices. Thanks again for suggesting it. And speaking of, the next-game-suggestions post will be going up soon, so think of which games you might want to see on the poll.

And as always, thank you all for being here. I appreciate each and every one of you.
