Hey folks, here's the aforementioned exclusive strategy video for TI4. Now, this game is too big to give a full on strategy guide, so what I've done is taken one of the trickiest aspects for new players (choosing strategy cards on the first turn) and I've broken it down into 5 tiers. This will be most useful for new players, but experienced players might learn something too. And if you have your own rankings or tips, feel free to leave a comment and let me know.

TI4 Strategies

If you're seeing this, it should mean that you've backed my Patreon at the $5 level or higher. To those of you, I want to say thank you so much for your support, it really means a lot to me. If you aren't a Patreon backer, I'm not sure how you made it here, but I guess good job on hacking the planet. The TI3 videos I mentioned can be found here (placing systems) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5p3kGKd8BTk and here (1st action phase) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4L2F9hB3MY Those videos are still pretty useful, if a bit lower quality. There are a few small things that don't quite carry over, but the main concepts are all valid. If you want to follow me on Twitter, go to http://www.twitter.com/rtfmshow for RTFM and general gaming related tweets or http://www.twitter.com/sheasayswords for the stupid stuff I say in my free time. You should also check out http://www.youtube.com/tentwentyfilms because there's some funny stuff there too. Why are you still reading this? Go play games or something.

Good intro to a strategy series on TI4. Would be interested to see you break down each race and talk about strategy for winning with each.

RTFM

Oh man, I wish I could. I don't really have enough experience with TI4 to get that in depth, and I'll be moving on to a new game soon so I can't spend too much time on TI4. I'll definitely keep an eye out for something like that though. For right now, the closest I've found is this tier list that's being compiled on Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/twilightimperium/comments/7n4qii/ti4_tier_list_data/
