Goku is in peril! With Chapter 84 of Dragon Ball Super, it has become clearer that Goku's legacy as a low-class Saiyan turned strongest in the Universe might NOT have been as special as first thought. Here's why. Does this ruin Dragon Ball entirely?  So...uhm...you know how we have been very positive about the Granolah the Survivor arc up until recently? Especially at the very beginning of the story? Well, we're not at the point of condemning it entirely. Since we want to stick to our guns, Haverok and I, and state on the record that a lot of stuff in the first half (pretty much up until Chapter 76 or so) feels like it still holds its own today. The idea of a character that is only loosely connected to Saiyans and that Goku has to take a back seat for once and play the team game? Yeah that was interesting; whilst also getting some indirect Saiyan context. The Bardock allusions were minimal and thusly were the most potent. Having that one shot of Bardock (but only hardcore fans would notice it) in his monkey form, that was so classy! But as for the last couple of chapters? Y-yeah...the nicest thing we can say right now, is that it seems more than likely that we are at least going to get the three main protags working together...that is if Granolah wakes up from his nap. It's funny, actually. I completely blanked out Granolah in that chapter since he wasn't actively featured other than a couple of panels. That's how little I had noticed him and forgot for a second this was his saga. Oops!
